This here is Shasta

an unfortunate exalted child.

her family was of the element wood(father) and fire(mother)
She was of element wood, and gives off a poisonous gas cloud when she exalts.
Of course, at age 16, she was in a 'Romeo and Juliet' love, with the opposite family of Aenigalo, rulers of the water element, rival to Shasta's family.
And so happens that Shasta and Galo were at their favorite place in the forest when Galo decides to give Shasta her first kiss...
...and so ends the day with her exalting and poisoning her lover to death.

Now at age 18, Shasta is free of the imprisonment of her mother's care and returns back to her home town, to live near her built shrine for Galo. Between the two years, Shasta's family was threaten and put on trial for the killing of Prince Aenigalo and was forced to move away.

Shasta must now face her rival family as she deals with the guilt of Galo's death, for she was forbidden to grieve or use her power in the presence of her family.
Can Shasta control herself and learn in time to return her life to normal? How desperate is she willing to be, to bring back Aenigalo from the death?
