the badge will be cut down the middle of the image, so giving the illusion when the badges are side to side that they are holding hands around the tree again. Something to start with ^.^

Oh, so like a convention badge in a plastic pocket attached to a neck ribbon type of thing? in England a badge is sometimes like a pin thing, like a sheriffs badge or a soldiers medal of honour or a birthday pin. These re all just called badges in England.
I dunno if its the same way here, but backstage passes and security clearance badges are also technically badges, so it can be a little confusing.

ah okay! well, these are planned to be convention badge that gets hung on the neck or bag. Since these were not to the right size of one of those plastic pockets, its gonna all be hand made to hang. Though what I'm planning is gonna be to have them cut separate so that it can be held side to side to complete the image again.
